I have two big interests in music, writing, and listening. Unfortunately in my last big MP3 frenzy, I deleted all the music I've written, and the computer that the music is on is no longer in my possesion :(. Hopefully I will be able to write new music soon. At the time of writing my current computer does not have a firewire port on it to plug into my mixer.
| Afro Celt Sound System |
This band fuses dance rythms with African and Celtic influences to produce music that is a little trippy, but in a good way. |
| B.B. King |
One of the fathers of the Blues Solo. A quintessential guitarist whose notoriety is well due. Soulfull and Sweet. |
| Bjork |
Bjork, what else needs to be said really? If you haven't heard any of bjork's music, it can be wierd and wonderfull, fantastical and creative beyond measure. |
| BT |
BT - An awesome guy. Considered the father of Trance by many, his music is very brilliant and quite entertaining. |
| Cake |
An band whose style is immediately recognisable, their music is sometimes sardonic, and witty, but always good. |
| David Bowie |
I like some of David Bowies albums a great deal, but others I found very bad. His latest offering Reality was terrible IMHO, but Earthling was awesome. He is a creative genious spanning decades, and probably more to come. |
| Dido |
An awesome singer with lyrics that I can relate to and understand. The music is plain but interesting |
| Enigma |
Enigma is an electronica band whose music was very prominent in the early 90s in Europe. Very trippy and really awesome. The third album was a bit of a dud though. |
| Imogen Heap |
A fantastic solo artist from the UK. Very creative musically two albums to date that are both fantastics |
| Iron Maiden |
One of the greatest Metal bands of all time, still releasing interesting and powerfull music with poignant themes. Many songs I believe reflect the spiritual beliefs of Bruce Dickinson or Steve Harris as a Christian. |
| Joe Satriani |
Joe Satriani, one of the first truly solo rock guitarists, the person who taught Steve Vai, and Kirk Hammett. |
| Johnny Cash |
Perhaps one of the greatest singer songwriters of all time. His country music was very touching and very special. I normaly can't stand country, but this man stands out from the pack as an exceptional musician, a true Bard in the old sense. |
| Madonna |
I have been entrhalled with Madonna ever since Ray of Light, Music, American Life and Confessions are all awesome albums with really great tracks, each with it's own distinctive character. |
| Plastikman |
Minimalist music using ostinatos, great background music for coding. |
| Rammstein | A German art rock band that very much rules. Latest album Rosenrot was a bit weak though |
| Steve Vai | Undoubtedly my favourite solo artiste. Very interesting approach to guitar playing that I totally love. Way cool. |
